The Cool Highlands
Common foods to be found are potatoes, corn, wheat, barley, apples, and pears. Farmers grow these things and other crops of terraces carved into the mountains.
The average temperature is from 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The mornings are cold and the paths tend to be slick with a thin layer of ice. The temperature often dips below zero during the night.

- Vegetation varies across the Tierra Fria based on the amount of rainfall the area gets.
- Traders with foods from lower elevations bring the goods up to the highland markets and take to highland food back down with them. This is called vertical trade.
