IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER:
During morning drop off and afternoon pick up, please remember to use the drop off and pick up line that comes around to the front of the school. If you are picking up at Hilltop, please ensure your student knows that is the pick up location. We have staff members in the line to assist students and the traffic line. Drop off is NOT allowed in the front parking lot. Students are not always tall enough to see over vehicles and can not see other cars coming. Students should not be walking through our staff parking lots alone during drop off or dismissal. If you need to come into the school with your student, please park and use the crosswalk where we have staff and student Rangers patrolling those areas! Safety is a priority at all times!
OFFICER SIMPSON'S SECTION
Officer Simpson wants to remind students and families about crosswalk safety. Please make sure you are walking INSIDE the crosswalks and waiting on the signal to walk before entering the crosswalk!

NEW SIGN IN SYSTEM
When you come to CGIS to visit, check a student out, or eat lunch with your student, you will notice we have a new sign in system as you come through the door.
Procedures:
- You will need to scan the back of your driver's license to sign in. There are two barcodes on the back of your license. Please cover up the small barcode at the top so the machine will only scan the large code.
- On the screen, select the destination you are going in the building.
- Wait for the machine to print you a badge.
- A change this year, is that your printed badge will not have a barcode printed on it for you to sign out with. When you are ready to leave the building, please use your license to sign out as well.
Please see the front office if you need assistance signing in or out.
Thank you for helping us keep your student safe!
