All Things Rushing!
Principal's Message!
I just wanted to tell you all thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate through this interesting and sometimes challenging times. I also wanted to say on the positive side, our kiddos are doing a fabulous job at school and I continue to be impressed with their resiliency and their spirit! To have successfully made it through the first nine weeks in this crazy new world, is beyond impressive!
Additionally, I would ask that if you have any questions, concerns, or information about your child's health and/or well-being, to reach out to our fabulous school nurse, Tanya King. We have very specific protocols in place for COVID and other health concerns, however, if we do not know about them or we hear about them second, third, or fourth hand, we cannot help or properly follow protocol for everyone's safety. We do not control what is being said or done outside of school but it does potentially impact our school community.
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you for your continued support and, as I have said, with GRACE, GRATITUDE, and KINDNESS, we can resolve any issue and move forward for the success of our students at Rushing Middle School, GO RAPTORS!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace
Veteran's Day!
We would love to honor as many family members, living or deceased, that have served in the military with a slideshow. If you would like to have your family member honored, please complete this form and email a photo of your Veteran(s) to Torrey Eckert at tneckert@prosper-isd.net.
We look forward to the opportunity to celebrate and honor our brave Veterans.
Unity Day, October 21, 2020!

Yearbook Photo Submissions!
Parents!
The Yearbook needs photos of your students at home, in their activities in and out of school, hobbies, their unique style, where they went on vacation over the summer, their traditions...all the things that make them unique!
It has come to our attention that the previous link was not working. You can now submit at the link below!
Since this year is so different, we are taking a different approach with the yearbook by showing ALL of who our students are, not just a student. I hope you will help us in this!
Please click the link below and share your photos with us so we can get a FULL PICTURE of who our students are!
https://images.jostens.com/415468976
NOTE: When you upload your photo files or scans, please choose the highest resolution you have. The bigger the files, the bigger we can use them in the book!
Also, please change the file name to reflect your student's name and grade level, such as abbiesmith7.
Thank you all so much!!!

Welcome to the 2nd 9-weeks. We were so excited to welcome back almost 90 Raptors to in-person learning this week! Counselors have been busy preparing for these last two weeks of October. Our guidance lesson this week was on self control/communication.
Red Ribbon Week is coming up (October 26-29). We have several things planned for that week. Students will receive guidance lessons on Healthy Choices. Counselors will be in lunches that week providing information about topics surrounding Red Ribbon Week. Students can participate in our dress up days as well.
We hope you have an amazing 2nd 9-weeks!

Wear Yellow Wednesdays!
"Be Kind" T-Shirts - Order Yours Today
Hope Squad has organized "Be Kind" yellow T-Shirts as a symbol to simply be kind to one another, which is why you often see yellow shirts and apparel throughout our district on every Wednesday of each month. This stems from supporting the cause of suicide awareness and prevention. This year we have two shirt options for you to choose from and purchase through myschoolbucks for $10. Orders will be placed monthly and delivered to your child's campus.
Please log into your "MySchoolBucks" account to order your t-shirt. The shirt will be delivered to your child's campus.
