From Be The Light:
When you are the light, your are sharing what is within you, you are guiding the way for others that may not be able to feel or see their own light that they already possess. When you share this light and awareness within yourself, either by a simple smile, compassion, and love, it comes back to you in abundance, and shines even brighter!
“What we have we can only keep by sharing”
Be The Light event was created to help bring awareness to the horrible disease called mental health, if we can ALL find our light within and share that light…what a Glow Party that would be!!! Georgia Tech's October Engineering Career Conference
From Georgia Tech:
The Georgia Tech Women in Engineering Program is excited to announce that registration is open for our annual Engineering Career Conference (ECC) – our STEM outreach program for young women who are current junior and senior high school students!
ECC is designed to give high school girls knowledge and information about the eleven engineering disciplines offered at Georgia Tech to help them decide if they'd like to study engineering in college, and, if so, which type of engineering is best for them.
This year's ECC will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 8:30AM to 4:00PM in Georgia Tech’s Klaus Advanced Computing Building.
Over the course of a day, prospective female students have the opportunity to hear directly from Georgia Tech's world-renowned faculty and current Tech students about the various engineering majors offered at GT. In addition, attendees have the chance to meet with a GT Admissions Counselor to find out about the admissions process and the academic requirements necessary to be successful in the engineering undergraduate programs.
The non-refundable registration fee for ECC is $40, which covers all materials as well as breakfast and lunch for all attendees of the program.
Applications will be open until September 9th.
