CANS FOR CANINES
HELP SPAY AND NEUTER PETS FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES
Help control the overpopulation of homeless pets in Lewis County KY
A local animal rescue group is hoping to raise funds to benefit its spay and neuter program, an effort to reduce the overpopulation of homeless animals in Lewis County KY. All funds raised will be used directly for spay/neuter surgery and transportation costs to vets. We are asking Lewis County and surrounding area residents to simply save your soda or beer cans and donate them for this very worthy cause. You may call 606-798-2784 and we will pick them up! Our goal is to spay or neuter one dog or cat a day for the Lewis County Animal Shelter or low income residents of Lewis County KY.
Save lives!
Thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized in Lewis County and the surrounding areas every year because of overpopulation of homeless and unwanted pets.
Stop others from shelter dumps!
Most dogs dropped off in the shelter are not spayed or neutered and if they adopted out without being spayed or neutered they can have over 150 puppies in their lifetime!
Stop puppymills
By spaying and neutering pets BEFORE you rehome them you guarantee that they will not wind up in a puppy mill in the future.
Want to help out even more!
Rescues across the State of KY are in desperate need of temporary fosters for dogs and cats who are set to be euthanized in shelters FOR SPACE. These healthy babies need a loving home to call their own until they find a forever family. Email us at Info@kyspca.com for more information on becoming a foster for local rescue groups.
