Tech Tidbit- Using Google Forms in the Classroom
Google Forms is a great way to collect data and information. You can also use it for quizzes in the classroom and have instant grades. Forms can be exported to Sheets, and you can have an instant gradebook. The possibilities are endless!! Check out this video to see several examples. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_hjNVg7zGc

Tech Tidbit- Padlet in the Classroom
Have you ever wanted a space where students can share their thinking, answer questions, post their work, watch videos, and more! Padlet is a place (also called wall) for students and teachers to share what they know. I have seen this done in many ways, and it is really neat. This video shows one teacher's way of using Padlet in the classroom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZk4jwEen_o
Accelerated Reader Update
We have been using Accelerated Reader for quite some time, but you as the teacher can now manage your students' performance better than ever. You have the capability of deleting and/or editing student tests from your teacher portal. If you feel a child should have done better or hurried through the book and needs to re-read, the student can re-take the test. This can be a good and bad thing, but I want you to be aware of the setting in case you feel it is applicable to students.
