What a week! Congratulations to the performers in the Variety Show and to our Kindergarten students who showcased their knowledge of the five senses. Today, Friday, May 23rd, our 1st grade students will share their wonderful writing at the Author's Tea celebration. I know they will be fantastic!
Thank you for your understanding as we had a late dismissal on Thursday due to all of the incredible talent here at Cambridge School. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
What are you doing on May 31st? Join us for a wonderful day of bike riding and support of education. This year, the Tour de South Brunswick has an added bonus. The school with the most registrations will win a $500 grant from the Education Foundation of South Brunswick. We know that CAMBRIDGE can win!!! Join me for this fun-filled event!! Finally, please join us for the Family Picnic on June 6th! Registration forms are available on the online Friday Folder! It will be a great night of fun!

Memorial Day Safety Tips
Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer. Whether you are traveling or enjoying a backyard barbecue, here are some tips for a safe and healthy holiday weekend.
Sun Safety
· Put sunscreen on 30 minutes before going outdoors, it needs time to work on the skin.
· Use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher, re-apply every 2 hours.
· Wear a hat and sunglasses.
Water Safety
· Don’t swim alone.
· Wear a life vest while boating.
· Supervise children at all times in and near water.
Travel Safety
· Wear your seatbelt at all times.
· Don’t travel with anyone who has been drinking.
· Make sure your vehicle has been serviced before a long road trip.
Food Safety
· Wash hand thoroughly with soap and warm water before handling food.
· To guard against cross-contamination of bacteria, keep uncooked meats away from other foods.
· Refrigerate all perishable food within two hours.
Fire Safety
· Never grill indoors.
· Always supervise a grill when in use, keeping children away from the grill.
· Use long-handled tools especially made for cooking on the grill to prevent any burns.
