Why We Do Dress Rehearsals
We have excellent kids over at MMS, don't we! Not only was the behavior at the play excellent, OK, there were a few issues, but, During the actual performance the kids did great! No doubt there was a few technical issues during the afternoon show, but that is why we practice and do dress rehearsals. The microphones were fixed for the evening performance, and they did not pull Rapunzel's hair completely off either. Did anyone even know that this glitch occurred! What a recovery by the cast!
If you see Ms. Giesler or Mrs. Heeren, congratulate them on an excellent performance last night! I have spoke with several community members that were astonished at the quality of performance that they put on. Those familiar with musical theatre commented about the complexity of "Into the Woods" and what a great job the cast and crew did! What an undertaking for the kids!
Who Were They?
Two Truths and a lie- Amy Giesler! She did not have 6 siblings
Who You Talking about?- Robin Johnson!
Who You Talking About mixed with Two Truths and a Lie- Jodi Norden! Her car did not shoot flames... Sad; that would have been so much cooler!
A Picture is worth 1,000 words
We all wear a variety of hats here at MMS, and our kids prosper because of it. Going above and beyond for students in need is our normal. Here is the SPED department showing us a few of those hidden talents!
Dominick Heier's Artwork!!
Talk about skill! Look at the detail that went into this dragon! I would love to have a work of art like this for my office!!
Veterans Day at MMS
At last count we had 37 Veterans here to talk with the kids. Each one that I spoke with complimented not only the event itself, but the maturity of our students. They were pleasantly surprised at the conversations that they were able to have with the students. Great work Student Council and Social Studies Department! Everyone loved the event!
Veterans Day Pics here!
Here is a link to all the pictures that were taken. Please, add the ones you took! Check this throughout the day as people will be adding more.
Well, Isn't this neat!
Here are examples of some of the data the PH&W Department is able to gather using the new Interactive Health Technology equipment. The data is completely personalized for each student. Goals can be set and adjusted individually for students per class period, per week, per semester, per year...whatever fits the situation. Data can also be collected school wide and district wide.
