Dear MECC Families,
Happy February!
Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and
Thursday, Feb. 9 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Students will only attend Pre-K on Monday and
Tuesday of this week. Please make sure and schedule your conference – we can’t wait to
share all the great things your child is doing in school!
Valentine’s Day Parties are February 14th at 10:30 for AM classes and 2:30 for PM classes.
Please check out information sent home from your child’s teacher for more details. Remember
you will need to check in through the front before heading to your child’s classroom!
In a world where you can be anything…be KIND! During February we will focus on Acts of
Kindness by filling our “school heart” with stickers each time a student is caught being kind. We
are extending this into your home as you will be receiving a “home heart” along with stickers so
you can catch your child being kind. We hope you will send us pictures of your full hearts
throughout the month! Our Rising Stars students will be creating Valentines to be distributed to
area Senior Living centers.
Returning student enrollment began January 17th . New student enrollment opened up on
Friday, February 3rd . Families can follow this link to access other required information and documents.
Enrollment documents can be brought into our office to complete the enrollment process.
Enrollment remains open through mid-May and opens back up in August. When spaces fill up, a
waiting list will be generated. Please help share this information with anyone in the Maize district
who has a 3 or 4-year old child!
Big Truck Night: Gearing Up for Kids! Save the date – March 28, 6-8:00 pm. We are SO
excited about Big Truck Night this year! We are moving it to MPAAC to accommodate more big
trucks and we added about 30 organizations/businesses who will have booths inside the
building. They will be sharing information about resources and activities focused on families and
children aged Birth – 10 years. Several groups will be doing demonstration performances
throughout the evening. Look for more information coming home as the date nears. OH – and
Food Trucks, of course!
Spring is around the corner, and Ms. Lindsey is busy planning for our Spring Music Program,
“Explorer Cafe” scheduled for May 10 and 11. Stay tuned for more information regarding
specific date and times for when your child’s class will be performing!

PAT playgroups and music classes are in full swing. There is no sign up, please come join us as often as you can.

Due to parent teacher conferences there will be no music or playgroup February 7-9. Please stop by some time and enjoy our book fair. It will be set up in the Willow Room (where music is held).

Our Book Fair will Be open for you to shop during Conferences. Wednesday, February 8th from 8am to 4pm and Thursday, February 9th from 8am to 7:30pm.
