And Next Up ... Check DegreeWorks

Log in to MyFramingham - under the academic tab and make sure you have all the credits necessary to participate in Commencement and graduate from the University.

Wait - I need to be Eligible to Participate in the Commencement Ceremony?

First things first:
  • Commencement is the ceremony marking a student's successful degree completion. Graduation is the actual conferral of the degree.

To get specific:

  • Participation in the Commencement ceremony does not constitute conferral of the degree. Similarly, inclusion of a student's name on such publications as the Commencement program does not confirm eligibility for the degree. Completion of a Baccalaureate Degree at Framingham State University requires that all students achieve a minimum 2.00 quality point average in their major requirements, including major-related course taken outside of the home department in fulfillment of major requirements as well as University requirements.

{And don't forget that minimum 32 course credit requirement!}

PLUS - all students participating in Commencement Ceremonies MUST attend the mandatory rehearsal on Thursday, May 23. See details below.

Fill Out That Form ... So we Know you are Ready to Graduate!

Degree Application: All students are required to complete a formal degree application. The Notice of Candidacy Form is available online or at the Student Services Center, located McCarthy Campus Center, Rm 515.

Please note: This form is required whether you plan to participate in Commencement or not.

After you complete this form, the $100 graduation fee will be added to your student account.
