Weekly Knight News
Week of 4-16-17
Let the fun begin
This week we begin our second round of ISTEP. I appreciate everyone's hard work to prepare laptops for this test session. We did practice tests on Wednesday and Thursday in science classes and it went very smooth. I anticipate the same during the next two weeks of testing.
Remember to stay calm during testing so your stress doesn't transfer to students who are completing the test. Also remember that during this test period you should not be giving big tests in class or any extreme amounts of homework.
Two-Hour Delay Meeting
Just a reminder that tomorrow morning with start at 7:15. Take a look at the excel document I sent out earlier this week to see what group you are part of for the suicide prevention.
When you are not in that training you will be meeting with your department to discuss ending out the school year.
We will all meet together in the library once both training's are complete to review any last minute ISTEP items.
Hallway Supervision
Continue to be visible in the hallways during passing periods. Encourage students to get to class and correct any misbehavior you may witness. More importantly be there to talk with students and form relationships.
If you're out, turn it out
Keep that saying in mind with your energy consumption. If you are out of your room, turn the lights off. Before you leave each evening take a look around and turn off power strips, TVs, monitors, etc...
Schedule
Friday- Deming out following ISTEP
