Principal's Message
Dear Ride Families,
We hope you are enjoying the summer break! This is the time of the summer when parents start thinking about school starting. We are just as ready for the kids to come back, as you are ready for them to come back!! The first day of school is August 10, 2022 and we can not be any more excited!!
Leading up to August 10th, we have a very special activity planned for our students and their families. Please see below for details about the Back to School Party at Ridgewood Park!
Our top priority is to provide a happy and safe learning environment for all students. To achieve this goal, it will take our entire Ride community working together to protect our educational endeavors. Even though Conroe ISD provides many safety features and procedures to protect the buildings, we continue to work hard to tighten up processes and stay alert at Ride. Please be cognizant, considerate and patient as we take extra steps and time to receive visitors in the building.
New families, please take a minute today and register for Parent Access (CISD website), so that you will continue to receive our parent newsletter, the Ride Blast. The newsletter is emailed to you weekly and is filled with important information and events that are happening at our school. In addition, Parent Access enables you to check your child's attendance, grades, and other important information. Returning CISD families will not need to re-register for Parent Access.
--- Please follow this link for the Ride Policies and Procedures. It covers everything you need to know for going to school at Sally K. Ride Elementary.
On Friday afternoon, August 6th, you will receive a welcome email from your child's homeroom teacher. Please be sure to complete the Transportation Form in your child's welcome email. This needs to be complete for each child so we can make sure they get home safely on the first day of school and every day after that. If you do not receive an email by the end of the day on Friday, please contact the school and we will be happy to assist you.
Please see link below for our Welcome to Ride.
Be sure to check out next week's BLAST for more specific information on Meet and Greet and the first day of school.
Enjoy the rest of your summer and we can't wait to see you soon!

Meet Our Amazing Ride Teams
Meet Ride's New Teachers
We are so excited to welcome a few new teachers to Ride this year! First up, we have Mrs. Fife back at Ride teaching 1st Grade! She loves teaching little ones and being part of their fascinating world. She has five kids, her two oldest are both Aggies and her youngest enters fourth grade this year. All five were SKR Challengers! She can't wait to meet her new students this fall.
We are so excited to introduce our new teacher, Kelli Beasley! She is so excited to join the Ride family, joining the fabulous kindergarten team this coming school year! She has lived in The Woodlands her entire life and is a graduate of The Woodlands High School. She received her degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas State University. She has a total of 11 years of education experience working with children from ages three, all the way up to 4th grade. She has enjoyed staying home with her three children, Brooks (10), Brett (, and Brinley (5) for the last five years. She is ecstatic to get back to work, doing what she loves! She is looking forward to a wonderful school year, working with an awesome staff and great families!
Next up we have Mrs. Syska! She is so excited to be a part of the Ride family! She will be teaching 3rd and 4th grade special education. She has a BBA from James Madison University in Virginia and a MBA from Oklahoma State. Once she had children, she decided to become a teacher and I have loved every minute of it! She has taught in special education for 13 years. Welcome to Ride!
Introducing our new Instructional Coach, Mrs. Richards! “ All I ever wanted to be was a teacher. For my 5th birthday, the only item on my wish list was a chalkboard. The following Christmas, all I wanted from Santa was a gradebook. I spent my early years having school with my teddy bears and dolls. Each year, my desire to be a teacher grew immensely. I spent 7 years in the classroom, and then I became a district instructional coach to expand my impact from my classroom to entire campuses and districts. Now, I am so happy to have a home at Sally K. Ride as the campus coach.” Welcome to Ride!
Our next new teacher is Ms. Murray who is so excited to be our new 3rd Grade teacher at Ride Elementary! She grew up in Magnolia, Texas not far from here and attended college at Texas State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She student taught at Ride in the Fall of 2020 and had the best experience. She can’t wait to be back and we are so excited to have her!
