NDS Update
Portal Enhancements Ready for Prime Time!
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes...
Updated Media Analysis
We've revamped the Media Analysis tab a bit so you'll be able to chart and graph your FOLDERS (displayed on the left like in Media Coverage) in addition to datasets. And, you're presented with an image of a sample graph rather than a bunch of instructions. The instructions can still be accessed via a help button.
Expand/Collapse Folders Based on Last Settings
Currently, when you're in Media Coverage, the folders default to collapsed view, forcing the user to expand the folders every time the page is refreshed in order to access subfolders. With these latest updates, whether you're in Media Coverage or Media Analysis, the portal will now remember your last settings for expanding or collapsing folders.
Power Searching
We'll now be presenting Power Searchers with the same search term options as are found in Filter on the Media Coverage tab. The "Use exact query entered" option supports Boolean searching, but some simpler search options are available for less advanced users.
Portal Changes Take Effect Tonight
For those of you who might be working in portals tonight, the changes will be moved over some time after 8PM Eastern, 7PM Central, 5PM Pacific. Portal users may experience a short "outage" but that shouldn't last longer than 3-5 minutes. While a portal session might be briefly interrupted, no data will be lost.
We'll be standing by to address any bugs that might be found once we go live, so if you do come across one, please put in a ticket. In the ticket, please describe exactly what you're trying to do, and attach screenshots of any errors you're getting. We may also ask you for portal and user information, and you can always give that info to us in an attachment. The only people who have access to ticket attachments are Karen, Doug and Kevin.
