Volunteering at the Schools
Are you looking for a rewarding way to support your child(ren) at EPS or EIS? Our teachers, librarian, and Family Engagement Coordinator are always looking for extra help during the school day. If you are looking for something after hours, contact your child's teacher, PTO President, or Jill Ferguson, the RBBCSC Family Engagement Coordinator at jferguson@rbbschools.net.
All volunteers and school visitors MUST have a completed Volunteer Form on file for each school year. Please click this link to fill out the form- if you haven't already!
Our Teachers' Favorite Educational Websites and Apps
Many teachers use apps and educational websites to supplement their classroom teaching (like Prodigy, SpellingCity, etc.). Your child's teacher will send home any usernames and passwords needed if they have subscribed to these sites. Please check your teacher's newsletters, child's agenda, or email the teacher to ask about them (if you have not seen any).
Here is link that has been referred to us as a great stepping stone towards educational websites. http://teaching21st.com/

Information about Indiana's College and Career Readiness Standards
From the Indiana Department of Education website:
In April of 2014, the Indiana State Board of Education approved the adoption of new standards for English/Language Arts and Mathematics. These new standards are the result of a process designed to identify, evaluate, synthesize, and create high-quality, rigorous standards for Indiana students. They have been validated as college and career ready by the Indiana Education Roundtable, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, the Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana State Board of Education, and the Indiana Center for Education and Career Innovation. This means that students who successfully master these objectives for what they should know and be able to do in Math and English/Language Arts disciplines by the time they graduate from high school will be ready to go directly into the workplace or a postsecondary educational opportunity without the need of remediation.
