Happy Spring Break!

Quarter 3 has ended and teachers have been busy grading! Grades will be posted in Infinite Campus by April 1.

We hope all of our Scarlet families are enjoying Spring Break! We look forward to seeing all of our Scarlets back in the building on Monday, April 1st. Let's have a strong 4th quarter, Scarlets!

The Germans Are Coming!

We will have German exchange students arriving at West High School on Monday, April 1st and engaging in their Scarlet experience for two weeks. Thank you to the families who are hosting our visiting students!

ACT April 2nd

All Juniors will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, April 2nd. Registration begins at 7:45am in the gymnasium and the test will begin promptly at 8:15am. Late entry is not allowed with ACT, so Juniors need to be in the gym by 8:15am. The ACT make-up day is April 24th.

Students will be testing for most of the day with a few short breaks. Snacks and a beverage will be provided. Because the test will last for approximately 5 hours, Juniors will have lunch available to them at the conclusion of the test and will be dismissed for the day.

Please remind students to get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast the morning of the test.

Testing Days April 23 and April 24

On April 23 and 24, all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be testing from 8:15am to 10:00am, with regular classes beginning at 10:15am. Seniors are welcome to attend a study hall in the cafeteria beginning at 8:15am, or can choose to report to school at 10:15am.

Freshmen will be taking the NWEA reading and math tests. Sophomores will be administered the MCA Reading test and juniors will be administered the MCA Math test.

Message from Mankato Area Public Schools Department of Educational Technology & Information Services

Mankato Area Public Schools is partnering with Securly to provide an online student

safety solution for students in grades 6-12. Families with email addresses on file with

the district will be automatically enrolled and will receive a weekly email from

Securly.com that will show you a preview of your child’s online activity. To receive

access to their full online activity history, you can enter the free Parent Portal. Parents

can now view their children's activity across educational sites and time syncs, in-school

and at-home across all of their school-owned devices. All of this is delivered via

beautifully designed dashboards and e-mail reports.
