Tomorrow is the first of December which means we are only three weeks out from the end of the first semester! If you have an 8th grader, this news is particularly important because high school is on the horizon. Remember that if you want your current 8th grader to attend one of the magnet programs, the deadline to apply is December 15th. The magnet applications are available on the district's website.


Our attribute for the month of December is balanced. As we settle in to the busyness of the holiday season, being balanced is a healthy reminder for adults, as well. Think about different ways your scholars can reflect on being balanced at school and at home.


School News


We have a delayed start on Wednesday, December 4th. School begins at 10:00 am.


If you are interested in purchasing a car magnet, please see the link to the form later on in the Courier. We also have hard copies available in the office. Magnets are only $5.


Are you interested in having a more active role at Clay International Academy? If so, the PTSO would love to have you join them! Meetings are once a month and are a great opportunity for you to meet other parents and to grow the CIA family.

The district is working to streamline transportation and it is asking for your help. Register your student, allow us to determine more efficient routes, improve bus wait times, and more by filling these registrations out by December 2. Hard copies are also available at each school.

The school magnet sale has been extended! If you didn’t have a chance to turn in your order form you have until Friday, December 6th to order your magnets! The order form is below. There are more copies of the order form in the school office if you lost yours. Show your school spirit!

December 7th: Riley "Make-A-Thon" from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm @ Riley High School

December 7th: Washington High School Holiday Bazaar and Breakfast with Santa. 9:00-3:00

December 13th: DTSB Holiday Light Parade 7:00-8:00 pm

December 17th: Winter Music Concert at 5:30 pm.

December 20th: Teacher Record Day (no school for scholars)
