Enrichment Day
Thank you for your hard work on our first Enrichment Day this school year. Please provide a copy of the formative assessment that was created or a summary of your grade level planning for Enrichment Day. Remember, this documentation supports our School Improvement Plan and our district goals. Our next Enrichment Day will be on Friday, December 2nd from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Literacy Day
Thank you to Kimenya Ramet for organizing our first Literacy Day for parents to visit classrooms to learn more about literacy instruction and how they can support students at home. A special thank you to teachers who volunteered to have parents visit during a guided reading lesson.

A special Thank you to Meaghan Caldwell and Trekeelia Simon for stepping in to help out on our Enrichment Day. Meaghan found activities for our K5 and 1st grade students after the presentation by transportation ended before students could return to class. Trekeelia stepped in and became the presenter for 4th and 5th graders when Sgt. Richardson wasn't able to come due to illness.

Reminders
Please pick your students up from specials on time.
Please remind students that we will be having observers in our classrooms from time to time and students should continue to work as usual. You will receive feedback via Classroom Mosaic from Dr. Pew and other district office observers.
Workday/Exchange Day
Teachers who attended the PLC conference on July 20th will be off on Friday, October 21st. Teachers who did not attend the PLC conference on July 20th will have professional development on October 21st. You will receive details from Rich Melzer via e-mail about this professional development.
PTO Update
PTO will meet on Tuesday, October 18th at 6:00 p.m. Please come out to show your support and provide input. We will be given the names of all winners for the coupon book fund-raiser by this coming Friday. We will select a day for the pizza party winners ASAP. Student winners will be given a replica of a check and parents/guardians may pick up their cash prize in the office.
