APRIL 2015

Welcome to the 2015 Cycling Season!

2015 is The Year of Sport in Canada as declared by the Governor General of Canada. For competitive cycling, we will experience the thrill of the Pan and Para Pan Am Games in Toronto this summer and for those Ontarian’s aspiring to a personal best or perhaps a spot on the Olympic team, a vibrant competitive calendar. The backbone of our sport is represented by our affiliated clubs that facilitate an enormous variety of activities for our club members. Activities that might include group rides, social events, local advocacy and perhaps a team that races wearing the club colours.

From our perspective, the sport has gained a velodrome in Milton and a BMX facility in Etobicoke as legacy that will remain after the Pan Am Games have ended. In fact, we have moved our office to the new velodrome in Milton and once the Games are over, this will be our permanent home and a great base for all cycling activities. In addition to the velodrome, Milton provides great roads and trails along with a local BMX track.
