Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Thank you for supporting our Student Council's Food Drive! By Tuesday, we had collected over 2,000 pounds of food to donate, a new school record!

With the weather starting to turn colder, please remind your children to dress for the prevailing and expected conditions. We try to get outside every day.

Finally tonight, I want to let you know that we will be pulling back from our visitor access in school for the time being. Visitors may still come into school for specific and scheduled reasons. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding. I hope to be able to move forward with scheduled and regular volunteers at some point as we progress into the school year.

Yours in partnership,

Joel Bates,

Principal

Picture Retake Day Rescheduled to December 8

O'Connor's Studios are experiencing some supply chain issues in being able to get school pictures out to families prior to our previously scheduled Picture Retake date of November 19. We want to ensure that you have adequate time to review the pictures so we have rescheduled the picture retake date for December 8.

Diverse Books Drive

The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley is partnering with the Nashoba Area Social Justice Alliance (NASJA) and The Silver Unicorn Bookstore to host a diverse book drive. The goal of this fundraiser is to purchase books that represent every child and expand literacy in young readers. We hope to raise at least $500.00 from the community in order for The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley to make a matching donation. The book wish lists were curated by each of our district's elementary schools and we hope you will consider purchasing some wonderful books to add to Florence Sawyer's collection! Click here to view and easily purchase from FSS' diverse book wish list: https://diverse-book-fair-florence-sawyer-school.cheddarup.com OR click on this flyer to scan the QR Code and purchase from your smart phone.

Lost & Found

We have a growing collection of lunchboxes, water bottles, clothing and accessories that we have gathered over the past few weeks and months. We have placed these items in an accessible outdoor lost and found area under the arches of the Emerson Wing. The next time you're on campus, please take a second to see if any of these items happen to belong to your child.
