Community Outings
We will take various community outings throughout the school year. There is one tentatively planned for September. If it gets approved, more information will get sent home regarding that outing. Outings will be focused on functional academics, Unique Learning System monthly Unit and life skills in the community.

Unique Learning System Monthly Unit
This month's thematic unit is "We have rights". Throughout the month of September, we will read the following leveled readers: "What have rights" "Can that happen in the USA" "Our Rights" "We have responsibilities". This unit studies the rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution and how those rights impact our daily lives. Students will learn how right come with responsibilities

Unique Learning System L3 Skills "Games"
We have been using the below link to work on various skills each scholar is working on. These "games" are skills your scholar has been working on for the past few weeks. I will send home the login information for each scholar. This can be accessed via the link below. You will need to click on L3 once your scholar logs in. Logins have finally been laminated and will go home.

Coding in the classroom
We will be conducting weekly coding lessons. You can access code https://code.org/ from home if you would like your child to have more practice.

Don't forget to check in on Class dojo for alerts or messages from Mrs. Tyler. We will also be using the portfolio option so you are able to see what your scholars are doing. If you need login access/info please let me know.
