Hello Naquag Parents,
The District is moving forward with our hybrid instruction to begin on Tuesday, January 19.
Please note next week’s schedule:
Monday, January 18: Holiday - No School
Tuesday, January 19: Cohort A comes to Naquag!
Wednesday, January 20: Synchronous Remote Instruction for everyone in the morning
Asynchronous Instruction in the afternoon
Thursday, January 21: Cohort B comes to Naquag!
Friday, January 22: Cohort B comes to Naquag!
I’m also sharing the Naquag Reopening Plan (please review)
Most important to me is ensuring the safety and welfare of our students and staff. To help ensure this, I want you to know the following:
Masks will be worn at all times. Mask breaks will be given during the day following our safety protocols. Please have your child bring 2 masks to school (wear a mask and bring an extra one). Scarves or gaiters are not a mask and can not be worn to school. Masks need to be at least 2-ply.
Our Hand washing and sanitizing protocols, as outlined in the Naquag Reopening Plan, will be strictly enforced.
Maintaining at least 6 feet of social distance is a high priority and will be enforced.
DAILY SELF HEALTH SCREENING: I ask that you use the DAILY health screening checklist Self Health Checklist - Staff & Students to ensure your child is not showing any COVID-19 symptoms. Please do not send your child to school if they have any of these symptoms.
Our typical schedule and school day will include synchronous learning for hybrid Cohort A, Cohort B and Full Remote students (Cohort C) each day.
Cohorts:
Cohort A: In-person on Monday / Tuesday
Cohort B: In-person on Thursday / Friday
Wednesday - Remote Synchronous Instruction in AM / Asynchronous in PM
Hybrid Instructional Day:
Arrival: 8:40 - 9:00
Dismissal: 2:10 - 2:30
Additional information will be shared soon. We ask for your continued patience, understanding and collaboration as we begin this new instructional model. We’ll be figuring out all the new challenges and will make some adjustments as needed once we begin.
