REVISION: Coaching & Feedback
We will be suspending the Weekly A, B, C schedule for the last 2 Spot weeks of the Fall Semester. Appraisers will be conducting Spots based on need: ensure needed coaching to support teacher growth and adhere to District policy for observation and feedback cycle.
Throughout the next week expect informal visits from Administration and Instructional coaches with real time feedback to promote tighter feedback implementation and positive impact on teaching and learning.

Each week administrators and instructional coaches will highlight the growth in the instructional practices, creativity, purposeful and meaningful practices that promote student success. It is important that we recognize ALL the Excellence in Teaching we have in all of areas of our academic programs. The highlights are on a rotation throughout the year and each content/department will be the focus for the week.
Instructional Highlight: Ms. Hudson
Ms. Hudson provided a very uniquely exciting opportunity to her 8th graders this week. Our scholars were in a virtual debate this week. They applied what they had been learning in ELAR class regarding having evidence to defend claims and points of view. Ms. Hudson collaborated with Ms. Leake, a former ELAR teacher, and scholars from Austin Middle School in Irving ISD. They each had 4 teams with 4 topics. All of the students participated by critiquing each round and voting virtually on which side of the argument they supported.
Thank you Ms. Hudson for continuing to provide authentic learning opportunities for our scholars as well as "thinking outside of the box"!
- Send text and picture to Ms. Taylor via email. (pictures that are texted will not be included, only emailed pictures)
- Subject line must include Spotlight.
- Due by every Friday, 5pm.
