Please email the waiver to Erica Madden prior to picking up your bibs and medals. Copies of the waiver will also be available at Town Hall. All participants (or their parent/guardian if under 18) must complete a waiver.
To comply with social distancing requirements, we are asking families to stay in "pods" of no more than five people. With COVID-19 cases on the rise again, social distancing is imperative!

Drive-Thru Christmas Event details
Town Staff is planning for you and your family to have a fun-filled evening at this year's Christmas event. Due to COVID-19, the event will be a drive-thru held in the Town Hall parking lot on Friday, Dec. 4 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Please enter from southbound Collins Road.
Here's a look at what we have planned:
- "Amped" up Christmas lights and decorations;
- Play "Guess the Christmas Movie" - There will be clues to popular Christmas movies throughout the light display. Write down as many as you can and be entered to win one of several great prizes (like a basket and gift card from Hope Coffee)!
- Hot cocoa kits to-go;
- Arts and crafts kits to-go for the kiddos; and
- Santa will be socially distanced on our antique fire engine. Be sure to wave at him!
While we wish we could gather together as we have in the years past, it is of utmost importance that we keep all families and Town staff members SAFE!
COVID-19 cases grow in Dallas County
Cases in the Town of Sunnyvale continue to grow as well. There have been 243 total cases, with an additional 44 probable. Of these, 37 have occurred in the last 14 days.
It is critical that we wear masks and social distance to stop the spread. It is not uncommon that those who are infected are not aware they are contagious for several days prior to symptoms appearing. Everyone wearing masks and social distancing can minimize the chances of infection. With the holidays approaching, please exercise caution and limit gathering with those outside your immediate family.
