Academy Shirts for Students

The giving season is upon us! This year, as a token of our appreciation, RHS would love to celebrate and thank our 10 - 12 grade students by giving them their own Academy T-Shirt ( much like the team t-shirts they received in the 9th grade). These shirts were designed and printed by our BEI Entrepreneurship students. Each student will receive a BEI, DEM, or HHP t-shirt during their lunch period next week. These shirts can be worn on Friday Spirit days, during academy competitions or any day a student wants to represent their academy! They are meant as a sign of “thanks” for being part of BEI, DEM, or HHP academy! We are THANKFUL for all of our RHS students!

Early College of Macomb

RHS sophomores are invited to apply to the Early College of Macomb. Early College sent information home to all 10th grade families in early November. This is a program for highly motivated students to attend RHS and Macomb Community College during 11th and 12th grades, and then attend MCC their 13th year. Interested students and families should plan on attending one of Early College's informational programs at MCC on December 6th at Center Campus or December 7th at South Campus. Information about the program, eligibility requirements, and the application process will be shared at these meetings. Additional information about the Early College of Macomb program can be found in their brochure and on the Early College website. The application is online through the Early College website. The application window is open December 12, 2022-January 13, 2023.

Holiday Giving

We are blessed to live in such a wonderful and giving community. Each year, right around the start of the holidays, we are contacted by generous individuals, businesses, and families about holiday donations. If you would like to use Romeo High School to donate to Romeo families in need, we ask that you do so with gift cards. This will allow us to properly disperse the donations and do so in an anonymous manner. Denominations of $20 is ideal, but of course we're happy with any amount.

Additionally, many donors want to donate, but want the donations going towards specific items (toys, clothes, food, etc.) or not being able to be used for alcohol/tobacco. If this is important to you, here are some suggestions:

  • Be intentional where you get your gift cards from. As an example, Kohl's is an option if you want the donation going towards clothes or toys.
  • Sheena's will punch a hole in a Sheena's card that will indicate the card cannot be used on alcohol or tobacco. You must ask them for this.
  • Meijer has "food only" gift cards available at the customer service desk.
