Burnside students celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday in a week long celebration. Students participated in a Drop Everything and Read event and ate birthday cake. They dressed as their favorite book characters and paraded around the school. The week concluded with a RIF distribution in which over 500 books were given out.

The Burnside Media Center is the place to be for learning with technology. Whether it was kindergartners making text feature ebooks, first and second graders publishing poetry, or fifth graders creating movies, students have used technology as a tool for research and showcasing what they have learned, Check out this prezi created by a fourth grade student.
