UX/UI Drop-in Clinics with Rob Porter on Fri

Rob Porter from Telefónica will be in the Academy on Friday to run UX/UI sessions with a small number of teams. We will be selecting the teams that will work with Rob on this occasion, but the opportunity will be rolled out more widely over the coming weeks

Wayra Quarterly Update survey

Teams must complete as soon as possible the Wayra Quarterly Update survey. There will be a bottle of wine available for the teams, which will be selected at random!

Buzzmove is now national across the UK! Congratulations guys for this success!!


Roadio broke into the top 25 educational apps in the app store last week. A clear example that good job becomes great satisfaction. Congratulations!

Skin Analytics

In they were shortlisted as 1 of 1000 teams who pitched for a place in the year long 8D company building mentorship program.

Skin analytics was selected as one of 10 who were selected for a $10k grant.

Fantastic job!

Karisma Kidz

Karisma Kidz are headlining at the Paradise Wildlife Park this summer. The Karisma Kidz will be on stage every hour with a routine as well as organizing treasure hunts around the park and giving children the opportunity to book breakfast with them as well.They have been selected for this opportunity in place of Poppet and Katsuma (Moshi Monsters) which is awesome, so congrats to the Karisma Team!

The Elevator Pitch programme runs twice a year and is the ultimate way of seeking out cutting edge startups from across Britain.

Our goal is to help build profile and tell the stories of the next generation of startups. To date, our Elevator Pitch companies have raised over $25m since we’ve profiled them. Previous winners include YPlan, Dattch, Hassle and Buzz Radar.

Great British Entrepreneur Awards

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards are intended to acknowledge and celebrate the individual, not the business. While some of the detail in your entry should inevitably reflect the successes of the business you have created, please bear in mind the judges will be focused on the ability, talents and story of the entrepreneur.
