How did the Industrial Revolution affect working conditions today?

The Industrial Revolution affected working conditions today by introducing mass production techniques and more dangerous conditions that still exist in some places today.

What solutions/ alternatives are there to sweatshops.

Some solutions include raising wages to the sweatshop workers and improving working conditions in sweatshops. Many companies that employ sweatshops are multi-million dollar corporations that can afford to make these changes

What did you learn?

I learned that many companies are willing to cause suffering to people in less wealthy parts of the world to maximize their own gain.

As an American consumer, are you now more concerned with how the products you buy are made?

I am more concerned because sweatshops are unnecessary to still bring in a favorable profit, and it is disturbing to know that people in other parts of the world are put through miserable conditions just so they can make a meager living by making something as trivial as a nice shirt or pair of shoes.
