El Salvador's history

From 3000 BC until the Spanish conquests in 1500's, The country we know as El Salvador today was inhabited by various indigenous tribes who had migrated there from mexico.


The U.S is around the same and discovered around the same time as El Salvador.

At the time of the Spanish arrival in 1524 El Salvador was under control by the Pipil Indians, descents of mexico's Toltec and Aztec peoples. in 1552 the Spanish were conquered by

Lt. Pedro De Alvarado.


Compared to America English people came to america first not the Spanish.


The majority of Salvadorans around 70 to 80 percent consider themselves Roman Catholic, even though Catholicism is not an official religion.


In comparison the percentage of Christianity isn't as high compared to el Salvador.
