Texas Independence
The Texas Independence Day is the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. This document was signed by around 60 people.
Texas Annexed 1845
This was the Mexican-American War. Also the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, 1845-1848. Around this time, President James Polk viewed the greatest territorial of the U.S.
US declare war against Mexico 1846
On 1846, this is when the US Congress votes in favor of the president's request to declare war on Mexico. After the threat of war, the US refrained from annexing Texas, Independence from Mexico.
UK and US jointly agree to occupy Oregon 1827
The Oregon boundary was a controversy over the political division of the political division. The competition of the regions began in the 18th century.
Mexican Cession 1848
The Mexican Cession was a historical name in the U.S. Mexico then ceded to the U.S., Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848. Although, they had never been apart of the east of the Rio Grande.
California Gold Discovery 1848
The people in California figured there was gold there, but did not know for sure. It was James W. Marshall who saw something shiny in Sutter creek on January 24, 1848. Later then he had figured out he discovered gold.
California Gold Rush Starts 1849
As news had spread of the discovery, miners traveled by sea or overland to San Francisco. Then, by then end of 1849, the non-native population of California territory was some 100,000.
Gadsden Purchase 1853
The Gadsden Purchase is a 29,640 square mile of present-day southern Arizona. This was purchased by the U.S. in a treaty signed on December 30, 1853.
Trails west map
The trails west map indicates all of the trails and which way they were going. Santa Fae Trail was a 19th-century transportation route that led through North America. This was pioneered in 1821 by William Becknell, although they wanted to trade. The Oregon Trail is a 2,200 m, historic east-west, large wheeled wagon route that connected to the Missouri River. A large group of settlers began arriving to set west, to settle new land. The California Trail was an emigrant trail of 2,000 m across the western half of North America. They wanted to get to Califonia to get gold. The Mormon Trail is 1,300 m route that led members to The Church of Jesus-Christ Later Day Saints. Members like Smith wondered that trail.
Texas Revolution
The texas settlers decided to move to Texas because Texas provides great land for agriculture. Agriculture is what economy was based on in the early times of Texas.
Battle of the Alamo 1836
The Battle of the Alamo was an event in the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under president General Antonio.
Battle of San Jacinto 1836
This was known as the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution. It was led by General Sam Housten, the Texian army engaged and defeated the General.
Elements of the Mexican American War
1. Texas gained Independence from Mexico in 1836.
2. The U.S. declined to incorporate it into the union, against slave state.
Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo- officially entitled the Treaty of Peace, Friendship, Limits and Settlement between the U.S. and the Mexican Republic.
Bear Flag Revolt- During this, from June to July 1846, a small group of American settlers in California rebelled against the Mexican government.
Gadsden Purchase- or treaty was an agreement between the U.S. and Mexico that was finalized in 1854.

I am an old guy living in California. I work at a Dry Goods store, where many people come day in and day out gripping about have no money. They want to know how to get rich quick, my only problem is that I can not help them. Many immigrants were coming to me trying to find gold. They tried to tell me they were going to go dig for gold but come to find out they never could find anything.
