Roc Solid Ready Bag Drive: February 1 - 25

Ready Bags

"Roc Solid Ready Bags are given to families during one of the worst times of their lives… when they find out their child has cancer. Many kids are admitted to start treatment right away, and everything else comes to a screeching halt. It’s a moment no parent can be prepared for. Ready Bags include everything that a family might need for their unexpected hospital stay.

This includes toiletries, a blanket, a journal, a tablet and more. These essentials are helpful, but we hope they also send a message to each family that they are not alone as they begin this journey.

This is Roc Solid’s first step toward building hope in a situation nobody ever hopes to face. "

Each classroom will have a box for students to place donated items.

Important Information

Character Counts

Starting January 24, there will be a Character Trait WOW bulletin board up front. If an adult sees a student exhibiting the Monthly Character Trait, that student will receive a Great Job Card that will be displayed on the bulletin board. The student will bring the card to the office and they will be able to pick a charm from the charm box and create either a necklace or bracelet out of them. Some charms are for specific traits and others are just random. The student will only be able to collect one charm at a time, thus allowing the student to come back for additional charms based on the targeted behavior trait.
