Staff Appreciation Week: 5/2-5/6

Next week is staff appreciation week! Spring Creek has a tradition of combining our teacher and classified staff appreciation weeks to celebrate and honor all of our awesome staff for their hard work and dedication to our students and school community!

Walk + Roll to School Day, Wednesday 5/4

We’re participating in the Walk+Roll to School Challenge on Wednesday, May 4th!

We want as many students as possible to use active transportation like walking, biking, scooting, skating as well as shared transportation like carpooling and the bus. Active transportation is good for their health and their ability to learn, while everything we do to reduce the number of families driving alone to school is great for safety in our parking lot and the planet. For those who must drive, we’re encouraging that they “park and stride” from a few blocks away from school.

Spring Creek Career Fair: Calling All Career Fair Volunteers!

Our Career fair simply isn't possible without volunteers from our community and we would love to have parents and community members share information about their careers with our students!

This year our virtual career fair will be held over Zoom with two different options for

sharing about your job. The first option is to participate in a pre-recorded Zoom session

with a teacher and AVID ambassador (pre-recorded sessions will be scheduled prior to

Career Week). The second option is to present at our “live” Career Fair via Zoom on

Thursday, May 26th, 2022. There will be two different times you can attend a live session;

am or pm. No matter which format you would like to commit to, we would like you to tell us

about your wonderful profession/job for 10-15 minutes then be available for a few

questions from our students. See the flyer below for more information.

Dear Families,

Eugene School District 4J is in the process of choosing new Language Arts materials for K-5 students. We’d like to take this opportunity to share an informational video about the process and share information about our two finalists, Expeditionary Learning (EL) and Wit & Wisdom/Fundations. After you have watched the video, you can share your feedback in a survey. Lastly, if you’d like to explore these materials, we have provided links to do so below.
