October Monthly Update
A Busy Month
September has been a month jam packed with events that the chapter has participated in.The month started off with the annual Sunshine Roll & Stroll, where a number of students signed up to volunteer to either walk with a Sunshine resident or push their wheelchair. They got to go around Sunshine's campus in Maumee, Ohio and learn how to help advocate for their organization! Not long after, the AW FFA Chapter held their first meeting of the 2019-2020 school year! At this meeting the parents were informed of what all the chapter does and expectations of its members and the members got to experience the meeting that is run solely by students. They got to participate in CDE activities after as well. Following these events were others such as the Courtyard Clean-up and the District 1 Agriculture and Urban Soils Evaluation CDEs! Congrats to the Agriculture Soils team for placing 4th in the district! We wrapped up the month volunteering at the AW FFA Alumni Chili & Brat Dinner as well as the Farm to Plate event to support the American Heart Association.
