Video Projects

Video Projects can be a great way for students to synthesize their learning.

However, it takes TIME and ACCESS for projects to be successful.

TIME

  • Even though our students seem tech savvy, it takes time and training to produce a quality video. Making a video is a process (idea conception, scripting, shots, editing, effects, final production). Ensure that students have the proper amount of time to complete your requirements. Especially if the work is done outside of class.

ACCESS

  • Ensuring access to the proper technology is critical.
  • Every HCPS computer has MovieMaker. Only the media center PackLab and D122 have Adobe Premier Elements 10. (This is the editing software that is taught to students)
  • The library has 17 flip cameras and 9 small cameras that have video capability.
