Message from the Principal
Dear Knight Families,
MAY is here! By now our students are very comfortable and sometimes silly yet they continue to work hard to meet our ACP expectations. Kudos to you parents for sticking with us this last month of school.
Masks
Masks are still required on campus except when eating lunch or participating in outdoor PE activities. Our students have been great and are all on board with finishing what we've started. Masks will be optional during summer school and the board is currently reviewing the possibility of optional masks beginning next year.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week we celebrate teachers! As a teacher, the best gifts I received were the thoughtful and sincere notes student would leave on my desk. I still have many of them! Our Booster Club, with your support, will be hosting a coffee truck and a burger truck next week. Yumm! Your gift card contributions will also be distributed to ACP staff throughout the week. Your generosity is amazing and definitely noticed. I brag to my principal friends about you all. Thank you!
8th Grade End of Year Events
We were very fortunate to secure the Chandler Center for the Arts on May 19th to celebrate our 8th graders and their completion of middle school. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate parents due to limited capacity at the CCA so we hope to live-stream or record it. We are planning this 8th grade awards assembly during the school day on May 19th. This will be a formal event so I will be asking 8th graders to dress to impress that day. We are working to have all 8th graders have lunch together that day before the assembly. Then, after finals, we'd love to invite students back for an 8th grade morning drive-thru celebration like we did last year. This will take place Friday May 28th at 7:30am. One last parent drop-off except you keep on driving and head to maybe a yummy breakfast downtown. :)
Please scroll for more information on next week's happenings!
Go Knights!

POWER HOUR REGISTRATION FOR MAY
Power Hour is an academic support we provide at ACPO on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the school year. It is a time where students can go to study and work on any of their academic classes. If needed, there is a classroom teacher available to answer questions. Space is limited to 20 students and pre-registration is required. All students must have a reserved a spot prior to attending a session. Power Hour runs from 2:50 pm to 3:50 pm Tuesday-Thursday's. Room locations are listed in the Upcoming Events section above.
Students must be picked up promptly at 3:50 pm at parent pick-up. As a reminder, ACPO does not have afterschool care. Students continually picked up late may lose the privilege of participating in Power Hour.
Notes:
- These are not instructor led sessions and parents must provide student transportation.
- In order to attend, all students must signup weekly through signup genius to ensure sufficient space is available.
- Under current Executive Order, facial coverings are mandated.
