Culture of Rome VS The U.S Today
Citizenship/Law/Justice
- Law now in the U.S versus the Roman empire and it's laws and sence of justice is highly different but still similar in one way or another
Citizenship belonged to all free, law-abiding people...
The Rights of Citizens
If people were "free" and "abided" by the law they would be elegible to vote, go to court and own property.
The Rights of Citizens for The "U.S"
Everyone and anyone has the chance to vote, go to court, and own property no matter who they are
Focused Laws of Rome
• Marriage
• Contracts between people
• Inheritance
- Laws were also written
Roman Justice VS U.S Justice
Roman justice and the justice of the U.S on closer examination, are analogous from one another. There are innate laws that give every citizen equal rights. We also share life, liberty, and the pursuit of hapiness in our daily lives. Judges in court need evidence and descisions to finalize and make the right choices. We can clearly see this in the U.S from our own court trials and liberty along with the pursuit of hapiness from people who come here to settle on a new life and place since the U.S is the "land of the free".
Rome's Punishment
Romes punishment to modern day discipline is significantly different and similar from beatings, slavery, and patricide whom if a father was killed the son or duaghter would be sentenced to drown by a lake.
U.S Punishment
From the U.S on the other hand, slavery is illegal, patricide or murder would only sentence you to "jail". Rome like the U.S have had the same laws as us as we had adapted from them. Deportation/banishment, and death sentences have remained the same from then on.
