Guidance for Addressing & Reporting COVID-19 Cases
HR previously emailed a PPT Presentation and Documents File to all principals and supervisors regarding guidance for addressing and reporting COVID-19 cases. The file contains forms from the Georgia Department of Public Heath (DPH) for returning to work/school and reporting COVID-19 cases. You can access this information in SharePoint in the "DPH COVID-19 Guidance" folder.

As a benefit to all BCSD employees, the District provides counseling services through the Employee Assistance Program. These services are free of charge. EAP is a work-based intervention program designed to assist employees in resolving personal and/or work related issues that may be adversely affecting the employee's performance. A broad range of assistance is available:

- Licensed Professional Counselors
- Substance Abuse Professionals
- DUI Clinical Evaluators

Southern Behavioral Services is the provider for the BCSD Employee Assistance Program. This program is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These services are confidential and are also available to the employee's dependents. Employees can reach out to Southern Behavioral on their on, or be referred by a supervisor.

TRS Workshops - New Virtual & Remote Options
TRS is pleased to offer a menu of options to help inform you about your TRS Benefits!
Virtual New Hire Workshops:
- Through the end of September, TRS will offer statewide new hire workshops via WebEx every week (see the attached schedule). Any new hire with less than 5 years of service, can join a meeting.
- As these statewide workshops could have hundreds of viewers, we will not be able to answer every question. Our objective for these workshops is to provide the big picture of TRS and the important role it plays in a secure retirement.
Statewide Remote New Member Workshops:
Download the free WebEx Meetings software application to your phone or device and select your date. In the app, click “Join Meeting,” then enter the access code (meeting number) and password: NEWMEMBER at the prompts. Watch and listen on your device. Send questions using the chat box.

Important Benefits Information for All New Hires
Principals: If you have a new hire in your building that has NOT viewed the Human Resources Virtual New Hire Presentation, please have them view the session a.s.a.p. @ https://www.bcsd > Employees > New Employees. This process is mandatory and requires that each new hire sign-off indicating they have viewed the presentation. Thank you for your assistance.

Is Your Certificate Expiring Soon?
Employees with certificates scheduled to expire on June 30, 2021, certificate Renewals are processed annually beginning in the month of November for those with certificates expiring in the upcoming year.
School Principals/ Department Heads will receive a list of their staff members with certificates scheduled to expire and the instructions for certificate renewal. New this renewal season, employees will be allowed to submit personal affirmation questions electronically via your MyPSC account in lieu of the paper update application.
If you have not created a MyPSC login, you may do so by clicking https://mypsc.gapsc.org/Home.aspx, in anticipation of the upcoming renewal season. More information will be provided closer to November.

TKES/LKES Implementation Reports
HR runs TKES/LKES implementation reports the Monday before each VIP meeting. The goal is to have 100% completion on all steps. You can find a complete list of evaluation guidelines on the HR Webpage under Forms & Documents. (Guidelines are attached)

Uploading Evaluations in PowerSchool
Principals & Directors:
Please remember it is your responsibility to upload evaluations in each employee's evaluation folder in PowerSchool Records. After each evaluation cycle, HR will run a report to ensure each employee has an evaluation in their folder. Instructions for uploading documents are available in SharePoint and are attached below.The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

Employee Referral Bonus Program
Employees who refer a "Teacher" candidate will receive a $1000 Referral Bonus if that candidate is hired and works in the district for a full year. Reach out to friends and family interested in teaching and tell them about the great things happening in Bibb! Please see the attached flyer for guidelines.
