SMS SUPERSTAR NEWS - APRIL 2020

Principal's Message Mr. Mason

Hello SMS Students and Families,

It is hard to believe that we have been away from school for six weeks and I truly miss all of your faces. I want to thank all the families for sharing photos of how you are keeping busy during these trying times. There is a saying, "April showers bring May flowers" and to help with that phrase I wanted to share a couple of photos of my most recent project at the Mason household. My wife and kids have asked for a greenhouse to grow our own vegetables and herbs and here is the final product.

In the Goodwin house, Charlie (2nd, Esposito) and Betty (k, Sabato), have been taking on large science and construction projects. Here they built fairy houses complete with moss covered rocks to entice fairies into our yard. Every day, they check to see if the furniture has been moved after our long family walks.

We have rediscovered our legos and we’ve been creating together. We are also trying to support our family and friends and our community. We made signs outside to thank our postal and sanitation workers, made cards for healthcare workers and donated to the food bank. We are going to start making masks this weekend!
