Congratulations To The Following Team Members For #MakingAnImpact!!!

January Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Paige Scharchburg

Big picture
  • Always flexible, available
  • She is always willing to assist when needed, her classroom is engaging, and when provided feedback she implements action steps immediately.
  • She cares about her students and is a hard-working and supportive PLC team member.
  • She kills it while teaching two very difficult math preps
  • Paige is a supportive, kind, and considerate coworker. She's been a great colleague and is always sharing strategies and materials -- even with folks outside her department. She's also really organized and genuinely cares about her students and their progress -- she works really hard and deserves to be recognized.
  • Ms. Scharchburg is an outstanding teacher. Ever since she arrived on the scene(last year), she has shown an eagerness to learn and implement new ideas, the ability to communicate in meetings tactfully, and a passion to continue to improve her teaching methods to meet the needs of her students. I'm am proud to have her as a colleague and I truly believe that she deserves the honor of being teacher of the month.

January Support Staff Team Member of the Month: Ms. Loretta Calderon

Big picture
  • Because she is the best at her craft. I wouldn't want to take on her role. She is a superstar, and the best Front Desk Receptionist I know.
  • Mrs. Calderon is always so friendly to staff, students, and visitors. She has her hands full at that front desk every day, from phone calls to tardy students & late shuttles to roaming students, she gives her all to help ensure our days are successful here at MSH
  • Ms. Calderon is the front line of our school in many situations and deals with many, many fires (probably more than we know of!) and handles them with grace and kindness.

Manor ISD 3:1 Parent Waiver Request

Click the button above to complete the form. Thank you for your support and engagement in the academic growth and development of our scholars. We appreciate you!!!

The mandatory tutoring required for students under House Bill 4545 states that students are to be in a group of no more than three students per one tutor. Manor ISD is asking you to provide permission for your student to receive tutoring in a group that is larger than three students. MISD is limited in providing sessions smaller than three students during the school day due to limited staffing. Please submit a separate survey for each scholar enrolled in grades 4-12.

College, Career, Military Ready

SAT Registration Dates and Deadlines are attached. To obtain a SAT Fee Waiver, all seniors are to use the following process:

The process for a senior (preference over juniors) to obtain a SAT fee waiver to use to register for an upcoming SAT is the following:

1. Email Senia Deshay (senia.deshay@manorisd.net) and copy Patricia Reyes (patricia.reyes@manorisd.net) and Melanie Henson (melanie.henson@manorisd.net) and ask if you are eligible to receive a SAT fee waiver and to request a SAT fee waiver if you are.

2. Ms. Deshay will verify if you qualify for a fee waiver in Skyward. If you are eligible, Ms. Deshay will assign a fee waiver code to you and email it to you.

3. You will use the fee waiver code to register for the appropriate SAT.

4. You can use the same SAT fee waiver code twice - you can retake the SAT one more time at no cost. You can only get one fee waiver your junior/senior year. You do not get one your junior year to test twice and one your senior year to test twice. You get one SAT fee waiver and can use it to test twice.

5. The student may not give the fee waiver code to anyone else.

Please contact Dr. Melanie Henson, CCMR Advisor/Coordinator at melanie.henson@manorisd.net if you have any questions.
