Southeast District Chalice Lighters
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Selma, the Southeast District Chalice Lighter Program invites all congregations in the Southeast District of the UUA to apply for one of three $5,000 grants to be used to fund a project that addresses anti-racism/anti-oppression social justice work. In keeping with the mission of the Chalice Lighter program, the project should demonstrate potential for growing and strengthening Unitarian Universalism in the Southeast District.
The deadline for applications is April 15, so think quickly and creatively! Complete the simple one-page application and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will announce the winners of these three grants at the Annual District Assembly to be held in Greensboro, NC on April 17-18, 2015.
All congregations are eligible to apply. Applicants must agree to submit a follow-up report to the SED Chalice Lighter Committee upon completion of the project as well as a thank you letter that will be shared with Chalice Lighter membership.
This is not a call. The SED Chalice Lighter program has unspent funds that must be distributed by June 30, 2015.
