Class Pass

Did you know Atlanta Public Schools staff and students have a digital library card? Thanks to our partnership with the Atlanta Fulton County Public Library, APS students and staff have access to dozens of resources, including online databases, eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming videos, as well as hundreds of thousands of books available at public libraries.
Get to know one of my favorite Class Pass resources - E-Read Kids! There are THOUSANDS of e-Books and audiobooks your child has free access to through the Fulton County Public Library System. Your child already has an account created for them. Their username and password is the same they would use to log into their computer at school/MyBackpack.
SEL Book of the Month
The SEL Book of the Month for October is Where Are You From? by Yamile Saied Mendez. This book is about a girl when asked, where is she from, none of her answers seems to be the right one. Unsure about how to reply, she turns to her loving abuelo for help. He does not give her the response she expects. She gets an even better one. With themes of self-acceptance, identity, and home, this powerful, lyrical picture book will resonate with readers young and old, from all backgrounds and of all color, especially anyone who ever felt that they do not belong. Be sure to "check out" this book today!
