A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
WOW! We are closing in on the last nine weeks of school. I am always amazed how quickly time goes by. We will be finishing the year strong with our classroom work and work in the community. It is always great to look back on how many skills the students have acquired over the course of the school year.
We will also be having lots of fun upcoming activities. We will send home specifics closer to the events. Relay for Life, Completion Ceremonies and end of the year activities will be here before you know it.
We had a great turn out for the dance. A fun time was had by all. A special thanks to our dance committee and all of the hard work they did to make the dance such a success.
I hope to see you at one of the upcoming events soon.

SHAWN'S QUAD
Ms. Kilpatrick’s Flash Quad is a busy team of hands-on educators and engaged students. Though the focus is always job training and teaching the students the essential skills that they will need in order to enter the work force and be successful, communication skills are also a vital component of the Flash Quad curriculum this year. Being able to communicate effectively with unfamiliar people, responding to greetings from both co-workers and customers, and knowing how to appropriately join a group discussion already taking place are just a small portion of the communication mini-lessons that students take part in during their break and lunch. Every moment of our day with the students is instructional time and we don’t want to miss even one opportunity to teach or strengthen a developing skill. When we observe the students effectively interacting with job site staff members or assisting customers, we know we are on the right track.
EMPLOYEES OF THE WEEK
Each week we recognize our students as Employee of the Week for exceptional work in the community and at their job sites.
