Team Talk
December 14, 2015
Happy Holidays!
Our Mission
As we pursue becoming a solution-oriented, collaborative team committed to maintaining a positive environment that fuels risk-taking and the pursuit of excellence in PBL we must not allow negativity on the bus. The book refers to negative team members who suck the energy out of you, your goals and the vision as energy vampires. Instead of wearing a garlic necklace to ward them off Rule #6 from the the book suggests posting a sign that reads "No Energy Vampires Allowed on Your Bus". The sign will serve as a reminder of the importance of positive energy to fuel our journey.
Take a moment to think about how you will keep energy vampires off your bus in order to ensure we realize the vision for the A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School and ultimately become and outstanding school of choice where students are engaged in project-based learning supported by technology that prepares them for a competitive global society.
Keep in mind that sometimes the person we have to talk to most about maintaining positive energy is ourselve.

No energy vampires allowed on our bus!
Prospective students, parents and visitors marveled at the transformed hallway and were excited to be the first to see the New Tech Art Gallery.
Thank you Ms. Goree and Mr. Davis for coming out to support the event.
Kudos to Mrs. Angela Davis Henry for holding down the fort Friday in my and Ms. Sorey's absence! We can always count on you and for that are eternally grateful.
Your collective action created a positive environment for our students and is greatly appreciated!
