Alice High School Newsletter

Thank You!

Thank you all so much for your patience during last week's benchmark testing. Your willingness to do whatever is asked of you makes the job easier. Thank you to Dr. Kubala for organizing and preparing for these tests. Knowing administrator assignments and room relocations early was helpful. Thank you all!

Don't forget!

It is important that you sign in and sign out every day. Please do not sign in and out for the entire week at one time. This document serves many purposes but not the least of which is a means of quickly determining which teachers are on campus in the event of an evacuation. In such instances it is not wise to rely on memory. Just as you carry your rosters with you, Kat takes this document with her.

Faculty Meeting Today - November 10th

New Teacher Meeting Wednesday-November 12th-during lunches

Please bring your own drink. Lunch will be provided.

Attendance matters

Our daily attendance goal is 95%. We are tracking it daily and are striving to come up with some incentives that will excite the students. If you have any ideas, please send them our way. You may email Dr. Holmgreen or Mr. Everett.

Also, please be careful when taking attendance. Be sure to mark your paper roster as well as entering the absences on the computer because your paper roster serves as documentation when you go to verify your attendance each week. By the end of the week it is difficult to remember every student who was absent so having your paper roster to check against is a good thing.

Posters will be distributed for you to place outside your classroom door. Any reminders we can give students about attendance will be helpful. You should have these next week.

And finally, please remember our policies and guidelines for attendance. If students are tardy by 15 minutes or longer, they are to be marked absent.
