English: Students have begun their Narrative writing unit. They are also working independently to complete homework assignments on No Red Ink and taking Reading Counts quizzes when they are through with their independent reading.
Science: Working towards understanding the flow of energy in ecosystems, students have been learning about relationships in various ecosystems. A focus on limited resources will be investigated to understand how this may harm or help a food web. Students will be completing 2 summative assessments. Students will have the option of creating a power point, a poster, a song, a skit or a book to demonstrate understanding of ecosystem relationships. The second assessment for this unit will be a case study of deer population changes due to a wildlife service decision to control the population.
