Daisy Troop 493

Finishing Up Between Earth and Sky Journey

Please complete your poster by the January 21st meeting. Some general guidelines:

  • stick to your topic
  • size: about a sheet of paper or 12x12 since we have to hang 10 up
  • it should be done by the Girl Scout but help them with making it neat and stand out (easy to read)
  • Use marker, pen, etc..

If you forget your topic, just ask:)

Journey: Three cheers for animals

This winter we will work on our second journey: Three cheers for animals. They will need to

  1. know ways to care for animals as well as themselves (birdbath patch)
  2. teach others to care for animals (red robin award)
  3. celebrate how good it feels to teach others how to care for animals (tula award)

Unless anyone else has an idea, I plan on contacting the local humane society and doing a service project for them. I also need to know if anyone DOES NOT have a pet that their daughter can help take care of, i.e.. a fish, a hamster, a dog, a cat, a horse. Please let me know if they don't or don't have access to one they can help with. I would like the girls to have to feed and clean up after the pet.
