Seattle Children’s Research Institute Opportunity
Seattle Children’s Research Institute is offering two programs led by PhD-level scientists and educators to current 10th-12th grade students in our district who will not have applied to college by summer 2023. Both programs are free of cost and provide an experience for those students looking to explore a future career in biomedical research.
- Research Training Program
Students will learn about topics such as biochemistry, immunotherapy, gene editing, and infectious disease, and perform authentic laboratory experiments at Seattle Children’s Research Institute in downtown Seattle. The Research Training Program will be held July 10 to July 28. This program is for students from backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in the biomedical and health sciences.
- Virtual Training Program
Students will learn about topics such as biochemistry, immunotherapy, gene editing, and infectious disease, and view live lab demonstrations. Participate over Zoom from August 7 to August 11.
