Supporting the Social and Emotional Needs of Gifted Learners

Gifted and high ability learners sometimes struggle to find ways to connect with peers and establish lasting friendships. Perfectionism, anxiety, intensity, twice-exceptionality and other social and emotional issues may impact the academic and social development of these learners. Understanding the challenges begins with identification and then development of strategies to guide gifted children on their social/emotional journey. Join us as we describe strategies to support these learners both in and out of the classroom
