PLEASE do your part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Shrewsbury
- adhere to the six (6) feet social distancing protocol
- avoid large gatherings both at work and at your personal residence
- wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose and fits close to the face (exception is for those who have a medical condition that prohibits them from wearing one and children under the age of two (2)).
- practice good personal hygiene and wash your hands often
- clean and disinfect high-touch areas
- stay home if you are sick
Massachusetts Community Level Data Reporting
The Town of Shrewsbury has been designated as a
RED, higher risk community due to a recent uptick in positive COVID-19 cases through general community spread. This designation comes from 8.0 or greater number average daily incident rate of positive cases per 100,000 population. The Town has had 54 cases within the past two weeks. This significant increase trend started in mid-September. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health provides a
Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report which includes enhanced, more granular information to be updated on a weekly, or biweekly basis, including town-by-town case and testing information, cases and deaths in Long Term Care Facilities, updates on nursing facility audit results, and more.
