FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
While our celebration of Catholic Schools Week was delayed and interrupted by inclement weather, we still had a great week! Check out a few photos of events and activities below, including:
- School Mass to Kick-off the Week
- School-wide Bingo and No Homework Day to Celebrate our Students
- American Figurine Decorating Contest to Celebrate our Nation
- School-wide Rosary as to Celebrate (and pray for!) Vocations
- And our "Soup"-er Bowl Competition to Celebrate (and support!) the Local Community!
One additional note regarding Catholic Schools Week, with the inclement weather day today, the students' "Price is Right" competition will be moved to Friday, February 11th. We're looking forward to what should be a fun-filled and entertaining event!
Ultimately, Catholic Schools Week is a time to celebrate all that makes Father Doyle special - our faith, our mission, and our incredible community. So thank you for celebrating with us! We hope you enjoyed the week.
Please continue reading below for some additional updates and other important information:

Reminder: Re-Enrollment for the 2022-2023 School Year
As communicated via email last week, re-enrollment is now open for current families. In order to provide current families with priority for enrollment, we strongly encourage all current families to re-enroll within the window of January 28th through February 11th. All current families who re-enroll within this window are guaranteed a spot for the 2022-2023 school year. Some classes currently at capacity, and we are not able to guarantee a spot for current families who attempt to re-enroll after February 11th.
I am grateful for your continued dedication and support this year, and I pray that you will continue to entrust us with your children’s education and formation by re-enrolling for the 2022-2023 school year.

Inclement Weather Days and Distance Learning
Today, Friday, February 4th marked our third inclement weather day of the school year. With this in mind, and in accordance with our Parent-Student Handbook, the next inclement weather day will be a distance learning day. You can find a review of distance learning day policies in our handbook, as well as at the link here.
Please note, distance learning days due to inclement weather are not intended to replicate an entire school day, but rather to provide students with learning opportunities and materials that reinforce concepts and enrich understanding, while also allowing time for kids to be kids and enjoy indoor/outdoor play, family time, etc.
Lastly, the distance learning policy is subject to administrative discretion based upon the impact of severe weather on the school community. For example, a storm in which power outages or other damage is expected to be widespread may prevent the school from utilizing distance learning.
