We are GROWING!

Each month, our students complete ISIP. "ISIP™ (Istation's Indicators of Progress) is a sophisticated, web- delivered Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) system that provides Continuous Progress Monitoring (CPM) by frequently assessing and reporting student ability in critical domains of reading throughout the academic years."

The April ISIP window opens on Monday, April 3rd! Encourage your child to give his/her very best effort so the data produced captures an accurate snapshot of your child's growth!

Teachers send a copy of their ISIP progress home each month. Be sure to watch for your child's monthly reports in reading and math, discuss them, and keep encouraging your learner at home!

Let's keep working and finish the year off strong!

Take Time to Read

Forms are due this week, April 3rd - 7th. Scottish Rite for Children will return a prize for every participant who turns in the calendar. Be sure your student returns the calendar to his/her teacher! Thank you to all of the families who participated and who are helping to grow our readers!

Safety Around Water and Fundamentals of Swimming - FOR 2nd GRADE STUDENTS

BCISD, in conjunction with the YMCA, is pleased to offer all 2nd grade students a Safety Around Water and Fundamentals of Swimming program. The lessons teach students about safe behavior around the water and will orient students to the aquatic environment to create a sound foundation for water safety skills.

All lessons will be under the direction of the YMCA of the Highland Lakes staff members. All personnel are certified and have a vast array of aquatic experience in water safety courses and Lifeguard Training.

Each 2nd grade student will have the opportunity to travel to the YMCA over a 2-week period, 3 days each week for a total of 6 lessons. Each 2nd grade student must have a permission slip signed and returned in order to participate.

April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 - Barnes, Cook, Calhoun, German

As an initiative of the Strategic Planning Process, Burnet CISD is excited to unveil Staff Shout Outs! Have you experienced great customer service from a Burnet CISD employee? Has a Burnet CISD co-worker gone the extra mile in supporting you in some way? If so, we want to hear about it! A Shout Out is a special recognition that acknowledges a District staff member who has demonstrated a special effort, an outstanding job, caring customer service, a project of high-quality workmanship, a team mentality, and/or is helping students CRAFT the FUTURE. Anyone can submit a Staff Shout Out recognizing one of our outstanding staff members. The Staff Shout Out form can be found at the following link:

Shout Outs!

Staff Shouts Outs will be posted online and shared with staff each week.

Average Daily Attendance for SGE

Big picture

SGE met 95% this week!!!

ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance. Average Daily Attendance is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. Check out SGE's ADA trends in the chart above.

We're going to "STRIVE FOR 95!" while also knowing that "98 IS Great!" We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work for 98%!

Viewing Progress Reports and Report Cards

Please look at how your child is progressing. If you have questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.
